Minecraft – Getting Started

Hello there and welcome to the getting started guide!

This guide is going to help you get started on the server. We have a range of customizations included that will enrich the experience over normal vanilla gameplay.

Key Features

  • PVP: On
  • Keep Inventory: Off
  • Griefing: Allowed
  • Cursing: Allowed

  • Be nice to people.
  • No abusing admins.
  • No x-ray and other hacks (minimap allowed).
  • No economy abuse, your account will be reset.

How does this work?

When you first join the server, you will be teleported to a random place, and that place will be set as your home. From there you are welcome to change your home with /sethome and you can go back anytime with the /home command.

You can request to teleport to any online player with /tpa <username> or request someone to teleport to you with /tpahere <username>.

You can earn money by killing animals and mobs. Try to save-up so you can purchase other peoples goods from the shops!

Land Claims

You can use the golden shovel you received in your kit. Right click on the ground in two diagonally opposite corners of your building. Then no one will be able to modify what is in that area. You can allow others to with the /trust command.

There’s is no server shop. Instead, others buy and sell goods to you! This means the pricing is competitive! To get to the shops, use the /warp command. To get started with your very own shop, make sure you have $200 in your bank to purchase a plot, then, stand on the plot you want, and run /plot claim. If you don’t care about the placing, just use /plot auto and you will be given the next free plot. You can easily create a shop, watch the following video to get started: This should explain it to you.

Money can be earned by killing mobs and selling items. The amount of money earned from mobs differs depending on the difficulty so kill what you are comfortable with and start earning some cash! Check your balance using the /balance command. Pay others using the /pay command and start auctions with the /ca command!

You are able to trade items with others, to get started use the /trade command! You are able to trade,  mcMMO Levels, XP, currency and any other item.

We use mcMMO for player leveling. Their wiki is far more informative than this page could ever be, so go here for everything you need to know:

From what I know, this plugin should function however it is marked as early alpha, this means issues could arise at any moment, so be warned!

Rideable Mobs

We have added the ability to ride dolphins. To get started, right-click a dolphin. This is a fun mechanic that allows ocean travelling to be much more exciting!

Modified Spawners and Furnaces

You can silk touch spawners to pick them up. When placing a spawner down next to another spawner (1 block) it will merge. To access the furnace menu, left click on the furnace.

We have several modifications for mining. The first is vein miner, this will allow you to mine every connected block to the one you are interacting with at the same time. This works for a range of blocks. Each is listed below:

  • Pickaxe: all ore, andesite, diorite & granite
  • Axe: all wood blocks, melons, pumpkins & mushroom blocks
  • Shovel: sand, gravel, grass, dirt & clay
  • Hoe: all crops, mushrooms
  • Shears: all wool, all leaves & cobweb
